Exciting developments in Quantum Computing

 We are called a nation of illiterates.

Yet we produce the techies who run the software show.

Recently though computers are set to get an architectural upgrade. We are soon going to see quantum computers working.

Its currently all material science but soon the action will shift to the holy grails of computing such as deciphering chemistry of photosynthesis, superconductivity and protein formation/folding.

I don't see Indian education good enough to have engineers capable enough to program a quantum computer. en mass that is.

It will remain a niche for a long time. Computers came out of the labs and into every home after a long time. Similar will be the case with Quantum Computers.

From what I know Quantum Computers would take time to mature as a technology and it will be decades before we could rent compute or storage in commercial terms.

Quantum Computers operate at the quantum level and physicists have been trying to unravel their mysteries since long. Long story short the fundamental forces of nature such as gravitation, electro magnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces etc are expected to be unified in a sort of neat way.

They were able to show that Electro-Magnetism, Strong Nuclear Forces and Weak Nuclear Forces are all one and the same. Only truant was gravity which defied unification.

We should get answers in a few decades or centuries at least. Our quest for knowing the truth will definitely lead to answers.
